Happy Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day from Hillside Public Schools! On Saturday, January 18th, 2025, Hillside Public Schools District hosted its Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Program at Hillside High School. The program was amazing not only because of the exceptional performances by each of our schools' students, as well as the decorative artwork done by Hillside Innovation Academy students, but also because of the high positive energy of the audience! The auditorium was full of parents, Hillside community members, Hillside Board of Education members, Hillside Town Council members, families, staff, and more! Great work to all of our students, including Hillside High School Senior Sarah Auguste who was the Mistress of Ceremonies for the event! Shout out to Superintendent Glover, Hillside Board of Education President Ms. Best, U.S. Congresswoman LaMonica McIver, Hillside High School Vice-Principals Mrs. Bartholomew and Mr. Emenaka, who all spoke at the ceremony. Last but certainly not least, thank you to all of our Hillside Public Schools music and dance teachers, without whom we could not have this incredible event honoring Dr. King's Legacy! Hillside Innovation Academy (H.I.A.) is looking for support for their All for Lunch and Lunch for All initiative! The goal of this initiative is to help pay off student lunch debts, and to create a reserve of funds for the school so that if a child comes through the lunch line without funds, their lunch is fully covered. This ensures that all students have access to a nutritious lunch regardless of their family's financial situation. Even a small donation can make a powerful impact for our students! With just $15 you can pay for 5 students' lunches. So please join us in our mission to ensure every child gets the nutrition they deserve! Your generosity will make a significant difference and empower us to bring about positive change. All for Lunch and Lunch for All!
