National Junior Art Honor Society
The National Junior Art Honor Society (NJAHS) magnifies the innovation, skills, and scholarship that our art program brings to HIA as well as the greater community. Opportunities for national recognition, scholarships, and connectivity to 58,000+ outstanding art students are available to student members of an NJAHS chapter. To participate in this club, students must maintain a 90% or above average in Art Class, submit a portfolio, and write about why they love art. Through this club, students will serve the community with art through studio sessions they design as well as creating murals to beautify our campus. These dedicated young artists will also contribute to art contests and design artworks to build their personal portfolio, all while building community with like-minded, artistic peers! Art Teacher, Ms. Rachel Therres, serves as Hillside Innovation Academy's National Junior Art Society Advisor.
